Maybe we should have a movie mule board....
I saw Bourne Ultimatum last weekend, and thought it was actually pretty good.... def. the best of the Bourne trifecta.... the first two I couldnt follow the plot to save me life....
Anyone seen 3:10 to Yuma? Looks like the best Western since Blazing Saddles!
Any other recommendations/movie ratings, either new or rentals?

I don't know about Blazing Saddles, but it's definitely the best Western since this:

oh...and on a serious note...i think that's a good idea b/c it would give me a chance to talk about something other than sports which i can't talk about at all...there could be a games, books, or tv thing too even for that matter although i'm not sure how much each of those would be written on but you never know...
and also...if it's still out anywhere i thought stardust was a pretty good movie...has a bit of a princess bride vibe going for it...a silly little adult fairy tale...and i would say do not see shoot 'em up...
did u see superbad yet either? supposedly, 3:10 is actually really good from what i've been reading...so i might have to give that one a shot...and everyone keeps saying good stuff about bourne...i made it halfway before i had to go to work...maybe i'll finish it if you're saying it's good too...kinda felt like more of the same for me up to where i'd gotten...but maybe it gets better still.

update: saw 3:10 today, i thought it was pretty sweet... luke wilson is in it for about 8 seconds... christian bale and russell crowe are pretty good actors and its a pretty cool story, its a pretty complex villian, which is always cool, one of those that kind of blurs the line between good and bad.... worth seeing.. I was never planning on seeing Shoot Em Up...

Haha yeah, Raising Arizona does rule doesnt it?
The new Coen brothers film actually looks kind of similiar to it.... like a spinoff of Tex Cobb's "Mama didn't love me" character in that movie

my initial response to shoot em up when i saw the preview was basically how i felt about it while/after watching it....but for some strange reason b/w seeing the preview and it coming out the reviews were positive and so i started thinking maybe it was going to be a decent flick...moral of that story is to go with your guts.
also...thank god someone agrees with me on national treasure 2...i can't tell if the kid i work with is joking or not...but he always goes on and on about how "great" it's going to be...i think he's kidding...god do i hope he's kidding...i never saw the first one...heard good things...but at least that one looked somewhat decent...this one...looks plain silly. and that bit at the end where nicolas cage pretends something has his hand...a) saw it coming...and i don't say that to brag...i say that b/c even the armrest saw it coming. and b) even the way nicolas cage delivers the line seems to make me think he thinks it's lame...and this is coming from a guy who saw ghostrider.
i don't mean to make everyone think i like a bunch of shit either. b/c ghostrider is in fact elephant sized droppings. but i think it's a good thing to see the good with the bad for appreciation's sake and to learn what not to do.
and matt...i agree...we own the night looks good but suspiciously like the departed. i usually kinda stop seeing movies around this time of year b/c it's always the same lawyers, war movies, and weepies about people dying from cancer and trying to make the best of it.
