The lineup for Innsbrook is exceptionally lame this year.
Countless old bands that weren't good even back in the 70's are still doing the 'tour under the namesake' profit schemes.. and Innsbrook seems to have booked every single one of them this spring.
Why can't we get the Strokes again? That was a helluva show.
edit: adding some of the acts this year...
Lynard Skynard (or however the fuck you spell that) Seriously... there are enough people covering Skynard songs all over the damn globe already, this one just happens to hold the rights to the name.
Doobie Brothers I still laugh at their name every time I see it!
Dark Star Orchestra see Skynard, replace with "Grateful Dead"
Derek Trucks Band playing along with about 2 pages of jammy special guests, sure to enhance your crunchy groove. If you like guitar solos, this is the fuckin show to see, dude! That's the problem I have with these guys, while they may be incredible guitarists, their bands are always so cheesy-groove oriented I can't stand to listen to them.
Hootie and the Blowfish I feel bad for these guys. They probably write a bunch of new material, only to have people light up every time they play those same old songs from 1995. Wait a second, I don't feel bad for them, they made a shit ton of money.
Live Only act I might actually consider seeing. Great band, but the only problem I have with them is that they (meaning Ed Kowalzck) take themselves waaay too seriously sometimes.
The rest of the lineup is throwaway, even compared to the ones that were listed. Maybe we'll get to see some good up-and-coming local acts as openers?
